FS: 1979 S3 88" Pick Up
Since buying a 90 I've pretty much stopped using the S3, so needs must and it has to go... It's by no means mint condition, original or one for the concours car shows, but it's a solid workhorse S3 that's been well looked after in the 2 1/2 years I've had it and would make a great fun landy for someone
1979 88" Series 3 pick up.
MOT Jan 2014, Tax end June 2013
Load bed of pick up chequer plated.
Roll bar, fabricated by a previous owner. It's not to any recognised specs but is very substantial and welded direct to the chassis rails.
Battery relocated to pick up bed, with isolator and mega-fuse.
Chassis has been patched in a few places but is pretty solid. No advisories at MOT.
Defender 2.5 Petrol engine w/weber twin choke. Low mileage, very quiet!
Clutch, bearings etc replaced when the engine was swapped.
Fairey Overdrive
New starter motor
x-eng fan controller with override
Heavy Duty radiator, with Omega electric fan mounted in front
Wolf air filter
Recent alternator
Heater fan replaced with bilge blower, toasty in the winter!
GB Springs parabolics with Pro Comp +2 shocks
Braided extended brake lines.
Front drums overhauled for MOT with new Delphi cylinders, mintex shoes etc
Weller style rims with 235 85 R16 Insa Saharas
Free Wheeling front hubs, extended axle breathers.
Interior has Exmoor Trim Deluxe type seats.
Both door tops are pretty new.
Centre lap belt
Pre-wired for CB radio (radio / aerial not included)
Comes with momo leather steering wheel, or standard series wheel.
It's located near Stroud, Gloucestershire at the moment. Viewings welcome with a bit of notice.
£1250 ono. Unfortunately I can't accept confectionary or other non-money related items
