Thanks guys :) Taken it out a few times and have some good news!

Its much quieter with foam in (even thoiugh its at the back atm, not the front of the cab) so will be great I imagine once we finish putting the carpet in :)

Also my heater actually works! Once the engine warms up, its pretty toasty in there :)

Even though it looks finished, still have 1 or 2 jobs to do on it so as they say, watch this space :D

Right then, another little update tonight (If you thought it was finished, well you were wrong :D )

Been carpeting using carpet rights finest rubber backed carpet and made door cards using MDF hardboard. Seats are the ones from paddocks

12V charger

Speaker box

You may notice a lack of mudflap lettering once again, this is because the paint wouldnt actually go off even after a month :( So thats a job to be redone, got some other paint which should be better

looking great,

did you do the steering relay at some point, i remember reading a thread with it, but I've looked all over this one and can't find it mentioned.

I remember it being well written up so i assumed it was you

looks really neat. in the end I used yellow plastidip for the flap lettering. It's like a rubber paint and so far it's remained flexible and no deterioration. The yellow is an accurate shade to original too

Thanks Land Raver, shall give that a go I think :)

Right then, a pic of the back with a more modern looking camera :D

Once the back was done, the front was started

Then the radio console was put in and the radio wired up. I decided to change the finish of the console to a matt black as I think it looks better and makes the slot a little less obvious

Got to do front doorcards, the front transmission cover piece thats currently red oxide in the pics, paint the 4wd plate black and touch up the levers and things and thats pretty much there then :)

Oh and yes you can here the radio over the engine, its marvellous, I think my Dads a bit green with envy with it (Wont be long before he gets a better unit in his 110 :D

You have done a brilliant job Sam. When you repaint the steering wheel, you could try Halfords "crinkle finish" spray. It gives a great retro look.

Cheers :)

I was going to give plasticote a go but after you've said that I'll have to pop to halfords and get a can of that :) Will give me a chance to get a trade card too while I'm at it

Got my roof rack and spots fitted :)
