1971 tax exempt galv chassis restoration

Here we have my land rover series 3 for sale. I bought the vehicle as a wreck in march 2011 and having spent over a year and thousands of pounds on an all original restoration it passed its MOT in February 2012. After all that the cosmetic work began. Painted in Land Rover Limestone. It has the original 2.25 petrol engine and gearbox with reconditioned Fairey Overdrive. It is built on a brand new galvanised chassis from richards chassis. Tyres are brand new Avon Ranger AT.

I like your work, what`s the spec on wheels and tyres, like the stockwheels/ modern tyres, chassis from where? what`s mpg on 2.25? Regards Stewart

Forgive the ignorant question, but if you replaced the chassis, how is the numberplate unchanged? Do you have the V5 for the new chassis? Many thanks, Adam

the wheels are the original steel rims in white hammerite with avon ranger all terrain 205/80/16 tyres. the chassis was made by richards chassis and it has done 19 mpg average since february . would love an overdrive though!

the new chassis didn't come from another vehicle . it was a brand new replacement part. the chassis plate and number plates remain the same.

Richards will stamp the chassis with the vin# as they make it, if you send them the proper paper work.

just thought i'd let everyone know it's been reduced to £4995
i've got myself a 90 now so need the room on the drive!
