Hi all,

Never tried restoring anything in my past.. I was kind of the guy that just used to dump and buy new.

BUT! I've picked up a 1968 series 2A and decided to do a bit of restoration work on her and get her back on the road.
Please let me know what I should be looking out for and or any advice. Luckily someones stripped and done the chassis and most of the motor. The gear box needs work as does the bulkhead/firewall

First question, is there anywhere that does seals for the doors, windscreen and front air vents??

First pic of the "project"

Fire your advice over.:):):)

Those wire brushes or flappa wheels that fit on drills are good to use, as are the flappa disks you can now get for grinders. They are $10 for about 6 at Mitre 10.
Make sure you spend the extra dollars on POR15 products to paint the chassis / firewall etc.

I somehow think Ive a few more days with the wire brush yet!!!

Have to rebuild the left side of the bulkhead, and cover some holes in the fire wall.
Right side seems OK but it's gonna be a long project I think.
