Just rung the local police about this one (i'm f**king fed up of there being so many on eBay)

Anyway...

She said, report it to eBay. They have a team dedicated to looking at dodgy vehicles. Supposedly recently eBay set up this new team and they are 'very good' and do report things to the local police.

So, i'm now going to ring eBay and see if i can speak directly to this team

Right, well, i now have the direct number for the law enforcement agency working for eBay. London based too, so within the uk.

I shall ring them during office hours tomorrow and see what i can arrange (if anything)

Come on this guy cant be real.......I mean he has bought a lada cossack, a bananaman costume and hair straighteners. Sounds interesting

So what part of that is 1958? I may just have to drive to the local vosa site where they pull in the lorries and have a chat with them. Try get a phone number or something

"This is for my landy its a 1958 landrover which has been fully uprated to be like a 98 defender with the 300 tdi engine and lots more"
tish tish, has back to the future been reinstated!!

''the only bad thing i have with the vehicle is the passenger door''

He missed the other bad thing as well, that the Land Rover he has is stolen  Tsk they allways forget to put that down in the ads!

Bump

Did you get anywhere with the numbers you rang

The worrying thing for me is people are bidding on it!"!"!!

got the number for the law enforcement section of eBay - London based.

However, left it on my desk at home this morning.

I'll give them a ring when i get home and hope someone is still there and see what i can do.

This is unbelievable.
You phone the police to report the sale of a vehicle that cannot possibly be a 1958 Land Rover (it may or may not be a stolen 90 but that's not the point) so the owner is guilty of Tax Evasion at the very least.....and they say "phone ebay". Since when did law enforcement get sub-contracted to ebay. Have they been given the power to arrest or impound vehicles too.
