Hello

When we bought our 1986 90 it was on 15" wheels. I have converted it to 16" now.

The 15" wheels are vane Alloys with 125mm centers. Ive never seen anything like them before. I'm going to ebay them but before I do I got to figure out how to describe them,

Anyone seen these before? Any idea what they are?

Thanks for your help

My Discovery came on something similar when we got it .. extremely light but very strong wheels, apparently an option from the dealer when the Disco was originally delivered. Can't remember their name, something like Blindo, but they were apparently Italian and were an oddball fitting for the wheel nuts which weren't available when I lost one! I moved to steels after that .. :) If you're selling them you're likely to get better value selling the wheel nuts with them ...

Yeah I kept the nuts... I always find it best to look after your nuts. I will sell the whole set together. 5 wheels and nuts.

agree, they do indeed look like wolf race alloys , the sizes were normally stamped on the inside of the rim :D

takes me back seeing these, useto work for john brown wheels as a saturday job in the 80s,

Thanks - yes I thought they looked a bit like the wheels on General Lee. In fact, the landy leaks from the angel windows and then runs down the front door when you drive off, as a result we did nickname it "General Pee" for a while.

Wonder if a 68 Dodge Charger as the same wheel stud arrangement as a defender? Might explain while they were so good offroad :)

Thanks for the inputs - I will advertise them as similar to Huricane Turbines

Backspacing? From the inside of the Hub to edge of the rim about 4.5 inches.

Was that what you meant ?

4 of the wheels have very good Grabber AT2 235 75 15 with about 8mm of tread. The spare tyre is knackered!
