Right oh, just in the process of stripping and painting the towbar I picked up at the weekend ready to fit once I've removed the remains of the bolt that was holding the folding step onto the chassis...
The towbar came with a 12n socket attached to the side of the leg running back to the chassis, I'm replacing this with an alloy version (wired back onto the landrover plug'n'play loom that was fitted to the broken plastic one) but am wondering if there's a better place to mount it - out of harms way but not hard work to connect to...
Has anyone fitted one to the bumper or similar?
Best I can think of at the minute is to make my own from 3/16 plate to bolt onto the two top bolts on the hitch plate protruding from the left, should be stronger than the shop bought biscuit tin offerings...
Any ideas?
