110 steering?

Please could some one advise me on what i need to put power steering on an early ,83,110csw?The existing steering is very heavy and ive heard a rumour that its possible to put power steering on with out a huge outlay??Can i get a p.s steering box and pump and just plumb it in?Will i need to change any steering u.j's?Are there any nasties i should know about?And last but not least would it be a very expensive job to do?Thanks.

you sometimes see the bits you need on flea-bay, but they go for stupid money.
basically, you need a steering box, pump, connecting pipes and reservoir.
the tricky parts to get seem to be the pump mounting bracket (which will need modifying, depending on which injun you got) and the belt pulley (so that you can drive the pump).
I fink it's been covered on here before - try doin a search.

There are several (I think 3) basic types of pumps, which ends up with many pipe options and it can all end up a minefield. Best to try and get the whole kit together off the same vehicles, if you get the bits independently you could have real difficulties.

Of course if you're already a whizz with hydraulics, and know where to get pipes made up, ignore the above.
