hi all just after some advice i hav been offered a defender 110 on a L reg for a real bargain its a bit tatty but ok otherwise now i hav always wanted a tombraider 110 but will never b able to afford one i was thinking if i saved up for a truckman body with canopy as i hav seen them going would it b a straight swap as i think the tombraiders ar td5s as i was going to strip the shell and do up the engine and axles and put freestyle alloys which i already hav and would i hav to change the logbooks or can u chop and change a defender when u want was hoping i could just get rid of the shell clean and galvanise the chassis put new shocks and springs on axles and just roll the chassis under the new body and bolt down

get real, if you can't afford a tombraider 110 yet then save up for one, it'l be less hassle in the long run.

thanks for replys i am thinking of building one for the fact of this 110 is a real bargin and i hav seen a fully county with truckman back and canopy on ebay last week for £2500 and i spent £500 on doing bits like suspenion and diff oils and giving the engine a good service it would still come in less than £4000 and it would hav a nice clean body cos the body on this other one is tatty but was thinking i could put parts on ebay incase the were any use to anyone and that would scrap back a bit more to spend on roll cage as i hav seen them on ebay for £500 plus as the man says would b even better knowing i had ripped my fingers to shread doing it myself
