HI folks,can anyone help with some tyre advice?.
I am gonna buy some new tyres for my 110 , 2003 Defender xs with alloys.
I am looking at buying the BF Goodridge MT tyres. Can anyone tell me if 265 x 70 x 16 will fit okay ? or should i go for a smaller tyre? are these tyres noisey when on the road and motorways as i like to travel to France with the Family during summer. I had the Goodridge AT tyres on my old 90 and they were great but i was looking for a tyre that was a bit more agresive looking and is a bit better when i go to the Alps.

The the general grabers that are on just now were not very good in the snow during the last few weeks. Thanks

generally more aggresive tire = more noise and less stable due to more flexible lugs

mud = average on-road / good off-road
AT = good on-road / average off-road

decide which matters most to you!

ive got kumho MTs and they handle pretty well on the road and they dont produce to much noise! also cant fault them offroad! i had them on a TD and i could still pull out TD5s that had got stuck in the mud despite havin punctured one so had 3 muds and a small road wheel as a spare :D

I have Kumho MT's on my 110 they look the mutts and they are surprisingly good on the road you can feel them a little bit at low speed ie driving down a tarmac path at 5mph.

If you are looking at Goodridge MT be aware that the new Goodridge MT KM2 tyre became available in the country a few months ago and according to write ups is an improvement on the old MT. Have a 'google'.... plenty of reviews available.

you could probably get a 35" tyre on ther but ud hav very little articulation and turning circle would be poor. i had 33" tyres on mine with standard springs and shocks for a while

yer in my opinion they are pretty gd. i drive with my window down rain sleet or snow and most of the noise is engine. i really cant fault them.
