Just recently bought this chassis straight from Richards chassis. Wasn't what I was looking for. Had it professionally powder coated. Have pics if anyone is interested. I know how much they go for and I know what I need. If anyone is willing to do a trade plus cash for mine I'm willing to talk. This would just be the chassis that is. Set up for a 200tdi.

You've just put up a wanted for a 110 chassis  I don't understand?

Need to sale the galv one I bought. Long story to make it short, can't take a rue manufactured chassis back without making some major mods. So looking to trade someone for their 200tdi 110 chassis or just sell it completely. In this case, if it sold would need an original chassis. If that makes any sense.

Don't be to harsh. Had surgery a little bit ago on drugs. Lol.

Did you buy the wrong chassis? Might be easier to explain what is wrong, someone maybe able to advise on how to mod it. Seems a shame to sell a brand new chassis - you will lose money!

Nothing is wrong with the Richards chassis, just isn't what I need for what im doing. So for me to sell and get what I put into it would be a little easier then trying to modify it to meet the original specs of an original chassis.

Example of differences, Richards Chassis doesn't press the two main pieces together like I thought when i bought it, therefore I have a box shape that would be highly noticeable when I take bake to the states and I believe the US GOV would crush it.

So don't want to deal with the anxiety of not being able to make it back into the states. etc.

This chassis was just delivered a week ago and is powder coated black..
I know I might loose a couple hundred pounds, but to me that's worth it then seeing my restored defender get crushed.

You need to get a marshlands chassis, thy make with the 2 forms like original land rover.

Yeah I have learned that after I purchased and recieved the Richards chassis.

I thought I did enough research and when talking with them they reassured me with how it would look and everything.

Seeing it in person is not what they described.

I fink I understand you're wanting to export a defender to the USA. But because it has a new chassis (that is noticeably different to the original) You're concerned that it won't meet the US's all imported vehicles must be at least 25yearold and original ruling.

I'm after a replacement chassis. So question is what mods were done by Richards?? am I going to be ableto do a straight swap over with the exception of changing the engine mounts? (mines a 300TDi) or is it going to be a major ballsache to get a standard body/axles/gearbox etc to fit??

AND how much are you looking for. and don't do the make me me an offer crap just tell me exactly how much your looking for.

Honestly, I paid 1450 pounds with delivery. I then had it professionally powder coated black. there have been no modifications what so ever. Just an original 110 chassis with the 2.5 or 200 tdi engine mounts. In all honesty if I could get it back to the states I wouldn't even bother going through the hastle.

Looking for 1250. Thats cost of what a new one would be without delivery and without the powder coating. In my opinion If can't sell it on here. I think if i posted it on Ebay for that price it would sell rather quickly, being powder coated and everything.

I might even be able to deliver it for you. Depends on my friend and if hes willing to let me borrow his truck.
