I currently have a Truckman top fitted to my 110 crew cab, as it is not very secure and if I'm honest looks **** I'm thinking of buying or making a flat load cover. A company called N & J make one for about £590. Does anyone have any experience of these or can offer any advice. I know I wil be losing volume, but I don't actually need that much space and like the idea of my tools being locked under metal as oppose to GRP and glass.

Cheers

Jim

How much FFS?? there's probably 100quids worth of materials and a couple of hrs work to make one.

Why not get a 110CSW roof and rear section and turn it into a CSW??

I like that idea too.

Surely there must be somebody on here who can cut straight lines with a jigsaw?

Perhaps we could meet up and create our own solution?

I want mine to store my tools securely and to strap a law mower so people can easily see and identify my company. It's all about the marketing!

Im about to make my own one of the ones in that link (samson) i will post a thread up, should cost about 100 quid to make it if not a little more maybe, then a little bit of labour on top and id be happy to make them for people..

When do you think it will be finished?

Its hard to believe isn't it, the top I have fitted at the moment which came as part of the sale is over £1600! Its just a fibre glass box and a glass door. I don't think they even have a light in them........mine doesn't.

I know right its stupid! where about are you from? I liek the idea of making it myself.. will probably make it stronger haha that seems pretty flimsy metal, ima be able to stand on mine :D

I want to lock it knowing that you cant open it with a pry bar, plus the tie down rails shown in the picture on the site are extra!!?
I would rather have some heavy duty lashing eyes. I suppose you could also put a roof box on it if you need the extra space for camping etc. The up side of that being you could have clean/dirty storage.

After much head scratching I think my truckman top is only any good if you have dogs.

I'm currently up in Lincoln until tomorrow then I'm down Stratford upon Avon way later in the week.

Where are you from?

Just a thought, but would it be possible to fabricate some sort of mechanism so you can still put the truckman on top of the chequer plate lid when needed to transport dogs for example?
