Hi all,

I'm new here so apologies for the slack terminology...The previous owner of my 110 saw fit to deck it out internally like some kind of camper and saw fit to install a special box in the corner near the cab for a portable Sh!tter no less!!

Needless to say, I've removed all the dodgy vinyl, wood (which had swollen up like weetabix) and other assorted crap, but in order to accomodate the aforementioned Sh!tter, the previous owner had cut through and removed the aluminum bench towards the cab.

Does anyone have any suggestions about the best method of bringing this vehicle back to it's pre-Jimmy Saville glory? I assume I need to get a piece of sheet ali fabricated to fit (1.2mm?), but do I rivit it in place, or is there a better method? I am planning to put some bench seats along both sides when this is finished, so I guess I need it to be flat(ish) and I would like it to be a half-decent repair?

Ta in advance.

It's not load bearing, so a panel of decent thickness, riveted in place and sealed should be OK, IMHO. Quite a bit of the rear body is riveted together in the factory. I would put a layer of sealant in between the panels at the overlap before joining.
