Hi I've got a A reg 110 which tows a mobile sauna and showers around festies etc. (samssauna.com) To be a bit greener we'ld like to fit a second fuel tank under the drivers seat for veggy fuel. Does any one know which model landy has a tank etc. that will fit and where I can get one ( good 2nd hand prefered0
ps. do any landy groups hold festivals/weekends etc. that our sauna might be appreciated at?

Military Rovers have a tank under each seat. These are a basic design though, filled by removing the seat pad. I have seen mil spec LRs with external filler caps that are obviously home made, so it can be done (if you don't like the idea of removing your seat every time you fill up). Part of the fun in owning a military LR is watching people's reaction at petrol stations when you open the door and start putting fuel in :)

if you are thinking of using undeclared veg oil in a tank while having a blind tank filled with derv it has been done 30 years ago and customs and excise are well aware of these other tanks as fitted to the military landys hopefully anyone trying to cheat the excise man will be caught but I doubt it

Tax on veggy oil as fuel is 27.1 p per liter you register as user and declare how much u use. Have found one site that says no tax if fuel solid at 10 deg C any one else any info about this?( involves a bit more plumbing to preheat tank and fuel line)

What a charmer you are!!

saving a bit on fuel helps pay for conversion but main reason for veggy fuel is it is CO2 nuetral.
Should help negate the thirsty 4x4 polluter bit.
Most of Europe no TAX on biofuel. (feedbak if u know figures?)

UK 27.1 p per liter
