evening all , my friends 110 200 tdi keeps on cutting out , i had a look and found fuel pipe to the fuel tank blocked, got air line down it , it sorted it for a week then broke down again , i said i,d put a new tank in for him but i said i would put a SOS on this web site before he spends his money , so has any ever come across this sort of problem before any hints or tips.

many thanks martin

YEP. Rusting fuel tanks is a common fault with the 110's. It sounds like rust flakes are blocking up the fuel lines. The tanks are a pain in the arse to get out cos the captive nuts at the front of the tank try and spin when you go to undo em. You normally end up with a prie bar in behond to hold em still. Don't forget to take the guard off the old tank and put it on the new tank.
