Hello peoples, I seem to be making wayyy too many 'problem' threads these days, but it's not my fault, it's my Landy's! :(

Basically, the clutch on my 1990 110 with a retrofitted Discovery 200 Tdi, has been a bit funny for a few months now, losing fluid somewhere. Occasionally, I would get in and the clutch would go right to the floor with little or no resistance - if I then look into the clutch cylinder reservoir, there would be nothing in there save for a bit of black sludgy type substance.

However if I top up the reservoir and pump the pedal for a minute, the pressure returns and it would be OK again for the next few weeks.

So I know I'm looking at the hydraulics, but where?
Slave? Master? Any way of knowing which one is the likely culprit? Any other possible causes that I'm not aware of?

Cheers all :D

i had the same changed both, but be careful of the master cylinder we got the cheap one but it wood not work on my 110 with the same 200 Tdi, after three days of stress we got it, we change master cylinder for none after market one and it worked, we do not know why but its great to have her on the road, lee

Fitted new slave cylinder today, working perfectly now (touch wood!).

Have got the master cylinder as well but it doesn't appear to need replacing.

Also, the easy bleeding pipe made all the difference seeing as I was all on my billy today. :)
