hi all,i have just brought a 109 straight six, witch is a project car,and cant wait to get stuck into it,and start restoring it,but first i would like to find out what im working with,gearbox,overdrive,4wd,and engine! someone has ripped the fuel line from the filter on the engine, and put some stupid pipe in place of it,but i can find where the pump is,i have read its under the drivers seat, but i cant seem to se it from underneath, does anyone know if it is in a different location,or am i just being blind?? :D

any input much appriciated

As in life one learns that all things are not what they seem.
If the pump is electric follow youir nose, and you'll soon find it.
One cannot take as gospel what's on Land Rovers, as some people treat them like big meccano 's.
The fuel pump on my 109 6 pot is under the rear right hand outer chassis .
Is it supposed to be there, I do not know.

The fuel pump on my 6 pot is mounted on the inboard side of the driver's side chassis rail about 2/3rds of the way back.

okay thanks for the input guys, the reason i ask is that i cannot hear anything priming( a fuel pump) its been sitting for along time, and it does fire, but i want to get the pump working so i can drive it! i have the origonal workshop manuels for the 2.6 but it says its under the drivers seat, but when you look underneath its not there,so was just wondering if its anywhere hidden! thanks for the input much appricated! :D

found the pump the other day,and found a little pipe in the foot well, witch goes onto the filter in the engine bay, found power to the pump was present,wd40'd the connectors up,gave the pump a tap with my finger, and away she went, does look abit scummy tho! all i need now is some pipe for the fuel line from the tank to filter, becuase the union snaped off the fuel line, and a little bit of pipe from the filter to the carb! i presume parts for these six pot motors are a pain in the arse to get,and expensive,as they are rare! happy iv got one tho, always wanted a 6 cylinder! :D
