Hi all hoping you will be able to help. Ive recently purchased a 109 but she doesnt have original front. She looks like a defender.
Anyhow, im trying to fit the bonnet catch. Not a clue how it goes together. Please see the pics of the bits and bobs, not sure if theres a few different types of catch here. Also, the fan is directly underneath the catch hole so theres only about an inch under the hole to pkay with.

Going off my series 3 catch (attached to a series 1 front panel) I know, I know  It looks like you have series 3 holes through your front panel but a later catch.

The spring and plunger obviously screw to the under side of the bonnet with the thick end down. This has a slot in the end for adjustment when everything is lined up.
The black bracket goes under the front panel with the silver washer on top bolted together through the two holes. This silver washer lines up with the one on the plunger.
The hard bit looks like its going to be the sprung hook. On earlier models the hook is part of the bottom plate but yours has to be fixed so when the bonnet is popped the ring on the spring and plunger catch the hook. It may have to be fixed under the front panel due to its length but you may have to adapt the holes and use spacers so it peeps through just enough.
Not sure what the black thing is in the bag but I presume the small screw is for fastening the cable for the bonnet release handle.

Not sure its going to work with the space available coz the plunger will drop through the front panel a fair way.

Having said that the hook could fix to the bonnet hanging down and catch on that square hole next to the above (small) plate???

The kit you have is the defender version , you will need to install a cable release for it black piece bolts under the slam panel with gold piece above.
Anti fly away hook needs affixing to bonnet to catch in the square hole, some adaption ie a plate welding to bonnet frame may be needed for this. Do not be tempted to not bother fitting the hook as a bonnet blocking your vision at speed is pretty dodgy.
