There's a setup where the dampner is replaced by a ram of sorts, but I think most people stick in a 4 bolt box and a disco (or other) column.

It took me an age to find a LHD 4 bolt box for mine, but rhd are ten a penny.

(And, no, I've not gotten around to it yet either)
