1.8k HG???

The head and gasket gasket on my 1.8 was replaced by the previous owner after he neglected to replace the timing belt at the right time. My question is: how do I tell if the new gasket is of the "old" style crappy one or the "new" less crappy one?. gasket was replaced towards the end of 2002.

it will be the old style crappy one as the new one only came around the start of 2006
