Evening all,
New on here. My Father has a freelander 1 1.8 petrol. Yesterday and today it has been overheating. No loss of water as yet. I went over today and it had been sitting for over half an hour after being on a short run. I started it and immediately the needle went all the way over and the red light came on, the radiator fans went full speed and the internal heater fan was blowing moderately warm air.

Any ideas where to start looking to diagnose?

Many thanks.
