04 td4 freelander.........

Hi landy lovers... just popped over from the range rover forum..(where i hide in the shadows).. to ask for your help with me Mrs 04 td4 freelander.. when you got the lights on and you turn on the temperature knob to hot.. the lights go dim!!!...turn it back to cold and its fine???? any one heard of that one??? any of your thoughts would be great... many thanks Stuart.... now back to my p38 and my tool box!!...

It sounds like you may have a ptc heater, a ceramic heater to supplement warming of the cabin.
It should be in the handbook if you have one.

exactly what it sounds like. my td4 has one and behaves exactly the same way. if you listen really closely, you can hear the contact close on the switch as you turn it.
