    Nope, competely different, sorry.

As a somewhat light hearted article this time around, I’m musing on the pop culture phrase made relevant in jokes and movies, “spectacles, testicles, wallet, and watch.” This, of course, has reference to how one makes the Catholic “cross” sign, usually after some harrowing experience and the person is thanking God for their safe emergence.

I wouldn't bother reading your posts if you didn't have the picture of VBH at the end.- :D:D only joking.

Got no rich tea or anything else when I visited Barny Jones (4x4) specialist in Farnham, Surrey yesterday. Have had that workshop work on this car before and they managed to "lose" the FOBs' syncs to the security mechanism about 15 months ago. No problems since. They were only able to sync one key however. The other did entry with the blade and IGN but not the lock/unlock mechanism.
They couldn't see any activity on their diagnostic when the key FOB was operated then told me that they had to use other software at another workshop (Keith Gott in Tongham) to sync the keys. Tried to get there but service manager was one of those: "We'll have to take it in, sir! Can't do anything until the 16th I'm afraid. You'll have to get it to us first thing and leave it with us so we can find out what's wrong."
"Erm, I come from Blackheath southeast London. Last time it only took you an hour since you have the special diagnostic to do this."
"We can't find any record of your registration in our files. So we'll see you on the 16th."

What is this "special" diagnostic that will sync L322 keys?

Then tried Challenger 4x4 (nearby) They were really helpful, got on it straight away on arrival. But unfortunately only had Autologic which shows what's going on but doesn't offer syncing of key FOBs to IMMO. "It's your receiver, sir as both key's don't work or show anything happening in the diagnostic when they're operated!"

Fair do's. Both firms made no charge...

Where is this "receiver" located, please? Even if it was changed out for a used part, wouldn't it still have to be synced up with my existing keys?

    Upside: There is no upside

Progress! After removing said RF Amplifier (433MHz) XUo 000020 cleaned its socket pins with Servisol, shorted them with screw driver blade and left overnight.
Sprayed plugs' pins with Servisol this morning and re-fitted RF Amplifier. Et voila!
After a hesitation, followed the "press the unlock button while simultaneously pressing the lock button three times" procedure Fob LED lit three times in quick sucession, and locks went locked <clunk> and unlocked <clunk>. Saved this key's sync by quickly switching off and switching on again. All appears to be OK. So far... Haven't chanced fate by putting the panels back yet.

Have prepared a help file if anyone wants. PM or email me. Can't file attach here as it's in Word format. The re-sync procedure is in Rave though.

So how come two well known active workshops in north Surrey couldn't do what I did?
Main agent (Beadles, Sidcup) are not too expenisive for only a re-sync: £108 inc.
For a diagnostic they want £216. But for a new key £400 inc. <swoon>
