Good to know, set of standard springs arrived last week and I would have fitted them by now if my trolley jack hadn't died! Have you noticed much more body roll in cornering at all?

Not really but haven't driven it much, only about 5 or 6 miles since the change. I am expecting to find a bit more body roll tho. It does seem to be 'holding the road' a bit better, as in it seems to skip about less when, for example, hitting a wet manhole cover halfway round a corner etc so feels more stable.

Will report back when I have driven it some more but so far pleased.

Weather was nice so using an old ratty canvas, I made a bikini top :) quite like it :)

Good job! Looks good. I thought yours is a GS rather than FFR though? Or have you added the ariel mounts yourself?

That's how mine came from the MOD with the front wing TUAAM mounts. I looked into it at the time and apparently you got FFR that had proper installs then there were GS that could have clip in temporary manpack installs using their own batteries but with an external aerial. Apparently.

The candle stick on the side I put on for the CB except I don't use it anymore but if I take it off it leaves 4 big holes!

Mines a GS, has no clips on the wings but does have the side mount and an earth strap behind the middle bulkhead. They must have a mix and match to suit...

Fitted some side steps/sill guards. Hated the silver chequer plate that was on them so took it off and put skateboard grip tape instead. The missus can get in it now lol :D

Did you ever do anything with those cartridges you found behind the dash? Just been reading through you thread and got as far as page 5 and thought, 'I wonder why the end of those cartridges were crimped closed on the end'. Are you sure they're not blanks? ie still live
I haven't yet read all of the thread so you may have mentioned it.

they are definitely used blanks, unfired ones are completely closed and the crimping forms a sort of star shape when looked at end on.

Cheers though, i havent done anything with them other than keep then in the vehicle folder

Not done a lot recently, refitted some bits and pieces and went out laning.

Clutch slips now and again and the release bearing is 'rattley' so may be due a clutch this year.

It's looking good. My clutch was running ok but bearing, pivot and arm were buggered. Hopefully starting some fresh paint on mine soon.

Yeah I wonder if it's those, did you do it yourself or get a garage?

I am a bit concerned doing it on my own on the drive as they aren't light!
