EAS Fault Identification Help

Had the EAS fault up on my 99 2.5 DSE quite a few times now. The suspension still works, rises and falls etc, but the fault lights come on and I need to reset it. When I reset it the same fault always seems to occur, which is RR Signal Incorrect. Anyone know if this is a sensor fault or a sensor calibration fault?

Looking at the vehicle it doesn't actually sit level and sits slightly higher at the rear off-side. By the way RR must mean rear right, but is this right looking from the front or the back??????

Just wondering if it may be as simple as adjusting the sensor calibration and trying to get things level.

RR is O/S rear . Try disconnecting sensor and moving it a few times through it's travel. Other that that it may need a new one.

What do i disconnect? The wiring to the sensor? And what am I moving, the suspension or the sensor?

Sorry if I'm missing the obvious, i've been surviving on 4 hours sleep per night for the last week and things are starting to become difficult to understand.

Disconnect the sensor arm and move sensor through it's travel several times. Then reconnect and see what you have. I think the system is saying the sensor is not reading the preset for that height. You could try dropping that corner a little and see what happens.

Also worth unpluging the sensor and cleaning the plug contacts. Water in the plug has caused problems with mine. After it's all clean and dry, put silicone grease round the joint and where the wires enter the plug.
