Young and foolish. Its an established fact all landys should be either blue or green or covered in mud so ya cant tell.

Nearly forgot to add...all the bestest and most professional off road landys have a chimney bolted to the front wing. Not a lot of people know this, but to make up for the inadequate standard heater many professional expert off roaders fit a solid fuel stove to the dash. About 3000 btu is all that's needed - as long as there's an adequate flue. The best types are made by Safari, Mantec etc.

I've yet to see an orange Land Rover chimney with a G4 sticker, but it can only be a matter of time surely...;)

short wheelbase defender or series.

i got a 110 its exceptionally capable, especially with the new tyres - as booger said "those tyres make it perform like a 90"

but the extra length and added overhang on the back do make it a bit more cumbersome, and less maneureable on the tight stuff

SWB series or defender for me

I voted Defender. I suppose the 101 might be better in some circumstances but it's big and cumbersome. A home-made hybrid could be almost anything, like a 6x6 with portal axles and huge tyres or whatever, so I missed that out of my train of thought.:)

Must be the BMW X5, or the Mercedes thing....or maybe the Rav 4....oh what about the Volvo cross country 4x4 antique shifter truck.........never seen any stuck in a muddy field !
