P38A Air suspension won't rise

There is a guide to replacing the airbags in the technical archive, if you can't find it I can send it to you.
I will probably get my local landy garage to chuck the new bags in as i need the car for a trip in the coming weeks.

Thank you anyway.

Here`s the late Wammers guide to fault finding the eas
Cheers thanks mate 👍

When i did both rears a few years ago, there were surprisingly easy and no swear words required
How did you deflate the air suspension? (For future reference)
I Searched online and found people talking about easunlock , but it seems you have to pay for the P38 version.

Is there a way to manually deflate them without just getting angry and sticking a knife in it?

You dont have to pay for it, classic version is the same and works I think. but you will need the right leads, which could take some time to get and some can be a bit hit an miss, but worth it for the future.
But if its a keeper maybe spend on a Nanocom (for sale by @doriz at the moment) transfer fees are extra and out of my pay grade.

If they are all flat (on stops) jacking it up will remove any pressure anyway :).

I have an icarsoft cr max , I downloaded the classic range rover version but I couldn't get it to open. Do you need winrar to open it or something?

I have the leads for the OBD2 port if that's what u mean?

Its been so long since I needed mine.
But I know the leads and drivers were an issue to get the right 1s.
I cant even remember what win version I was running.

The leads you have wont work i can be sure of that.

But now, if you put new bags, new compressor, It may just spring into life and be fine.
I ony have the EAS suite cos, 15yrs ago I had to change a Ht sensor :).

If you dont keep pushing it as it is, it might not go into a hard fault needing diagnostics. then just replace the bits and you might get lucky.

I did my bags on a grassy padock its not a difficult job. dont forget new R clips.

I have an icarsoft cr max ,
Max? shirley that would do it?

As for once the air bags are back on , how do I fill the air bags Without the software? Is it a case of you just run the vehicle?

All I can remember is, I had the emegency valves. so when fitted I gave them a little puff to take the shape, and lowered it slowly to make sure it all folded where it should.
Then put it up to "about the right" height. then let the system get on with it. worked for me.

Sensor is a different matter.

CR Max does not do most stuff on a P38. Petrol Engine & possibly gearbox only. You need Nanocom or EASunlock V3

If your EAS is on the bumpstops, there's no air in it & no need to deflate. Simply push the collets in & pull the airlines out. Once the pump is repaired, connect it all up & get the tank filled with air. It should rise when you close the doors & tailgate.

iCarsoft coverage guide states the CR Max does all systems on P38, but doesn't even read the VIN. For the EAS it fails to trigger the timer relay, so no idea if the communications is there or not !! The old i930 doesn't either, but does nicely for the Freelander-1 & various Jags.

My guess is the Chinese never got hold of a Testbook T4, so didn't have something to clone, hence focussed on CAN & ISO interface cars instead.

the emergency valves seem good , getting air back into the system is going to be my issue,

the air lines that go into the compressor box , would it be possible to put an air fittin on that and fill it up with a tire pump?
