P38A Poly bushes

Hi everyone

I'm going through the paces of future proofing my P38 , I'm getting mixed information about poly bushes .

Is this worth doing ?

Your choice, but there will always be mixed views on them. You'll never get 100% aligned views....

There have been people here that find them fine. Others have gone to the arduous task of changing all for polys, only then to revert them all to standard due to issues.
Changing them out merely for the sake of it I would say not worth it. If bushes need changing anyway then up to you, worst case is you’ll do it twice.

I put blue boxed ones on. It was better than the knackered oem ones i took off

The poly go in easier but if you get grit in there they can wear away. Some people find the handling crisper but slightly harsher ride. Rubber are harder to get in without the taper tool and press. Seeing as the originals lasted over 15 years I figured they were probably worth sticking with.

Good advice, il most likely stick with standard ones

I did my hockey stick bushes and the arm to chassis bushes at the same time all in oem style parts. I do run polybushes on anti roll bar and stiffer shocks. Other than it's standard and drives and handles well.
The terrafirmer shocks are a little harsh sometimes because of our roads here but take an awful lot of the lean out of it on the corners.

Sache or boge. My son has Monroe on his 38', they are quite supple

Il definitely keep them in mind , even standard it's a incredible touring car.

Sort of. They are off road type but have adjustable dampening. Terribly firmas also marketed at off road / all terrain style but fine for all conditions. Bilstein is another decent make for on road

Hard to beat OEM shocks on the P38 for road use.

Boge were original and seem best to me.
