Gave me grass the first cut of the year yesterday. Mower was not running smoothly for some of the time, so gave it a service this morning. Fitted a new diaphragm in the carby and gave it an oil change. Running sweetly again
We got rid of both front and rear gardens last year. No more grass cutting or tree pruning. Just rake the stones now and again 😄

Got solar panels and don't use much gas, I turn the gas off in May and back on again around October, before lockdown my bill was 15 quid a month in the summer but now it's going to be 30 quid I recon
at -3 I just heat my living room and have other rooms on low

What solar system do you have, its maybe time I looked into this. :)

Arternoon all.
Mizzling here again.
Actooly doin a bit of DIY today.
(Keeps W happy) she's off to sewing while I also have to go to the dump and get rid of two old tarps and a car cover, then back to Scroooficks to pick up two new tarps.
When I took the one off the 300tdi Anniversary D1 I gave it more of a look over than I usually do.
:(:(:(
There is rust on the A pillar just about at the level of the bottom of the window on the nearside. I say "rust on" more it's riddled with it. Don't remember there ever being any there before, came as something of a shock.
If I ever get around to doing it up, that plus another bit I found will make the whole job more complex. Already have to do at least one sill.
I felt like Fuzz from Car SOS looking at the latest job.
Gulp.
I also am a bit ashamed to admit that one side, the north facing side, of the D2, i.e. the runner that we use quite a bit, has mildew, or is it mould? The greeny yellow stuff, sitting on top of the plastic wheel arch covers and along the edges of the plastic trim below the side windows. one the paint there as well. Does anyone know how you get it off?
I've just ignored it as I only noticed it last year. It doesn't look as easy to remove as I hoped. Maybe I am just fretting.
You can tell I never wash a car.
I use bleach to get it off the box trailer!
Anyway, enjoy your days folks!
Stan
:):):):)

Well, I went to the dump, got back in the car and looked forward to being able to use the by pass, so shot off to Ringwood to pick up the bookcase and bits of pottery she won in the auction. Windscreen wipers now making an annoying clicking noise at the end of the stroke, drivers side. Put the faulty radio on and it worked for once! For about 3 miles.:(
Got home and then realised I'd forgotten to pick up the new tarps, which would have meant NOT using the bypass.
Dumbo.
This is after setting off and realising, just before I drove out of the estate that I had forgotten to pick up the cheque off the lounge table. So had to go back for it:rolleyes:

Senility seriously setting in.:(:(:(

And the clicking isn't just a worn blade, it is coming form the works under the spindles. What a pile of poop.:(
Enjoy your evenings folks!
:):):)

Rip off Britain. I pay over here€200 including mot equivalent full cover on defender that's on the vehicle not the driver so any driver covered 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👎

Then putting that stuff down in the hall etc seems very over the top for protection of the environs.

If that is what they are doing then good on them.
When we had all the windows replaced they put no p[rotection down at all. Mind they did a good job and left no mess.
They replaced 1980 wood framed single glazed with plassy framed DG units. Didn't evn have to repaint or anything. And they did it all from inside so no need for scaffolding.
Thay is knocking brick work down and installation of catnik or simler lot of dust and mess
