Being in Frogland I have checked it with Orange's own speedchecker, which gave the figure I posted.
I'll try it with the ones you suggested.
Ta. mate.

Me-n-'er are doing our very best to diet and lose some lard weight as we are both far too porkulent at present.
So no spuds of any kind, no bread, no crackers with the cheese, no crisps and a drastic reduction in our alcohol intake.
She's a type 2 diabetic and is sick from the meds, and I'm just a fat bastid who drinks far too much.
I hope we can stick to the plan. Sunday is our "treat yourself" day when a roast potato and a dessert will be allowed.
I am looking to lose at least 3 stone (preferably 4) and at our age (approaching 69) with slow old metabolism's its a big ask I think.
But the health benefits make the attempt well worth it I think.
Wish me luck! :D
Good luck 👍

The below done with your first checker, which backs up what Orange themselves say.
Do i have a case to complain do you think.
Seems pretty naff to me.

Eye has bin reading about fat.

A decent enough and balanced view/article. What they don't tell you is that your GP is generally too lazy/stupid to order a FULL panel blood test to establish the levels of LDL/HDL & Triglycerides and so all you get is the combined SUM-TOTAL figure that he uses to shock you with and convince you to take statins. What should really happen is a full panel test because HDL mops up LDL so if your HDL is four times the amount of LDL then you are not at any great risk.
The body really needs Cholesterol in order to make cells. The brain is 60% fat and I often wonder if there is any correlation between the great Statin trick and the increase in dementia. :D
I am on statins, but all they do is drop my HDL and have no effect on my LDL, so that's not good really.

It depends if they give a minimum service level speed. They may not if yer oot in the sticks. Yer does gerra slight variation in speed between testers.

I like this article and also had the same problem getting the GP to be specific about how much of each type of cholesterol I had. He too said he thought I ought to go on statins but didn't push it when I said "No ta."
TBH both W and I eat mostly what is on the good list and little of what is on the bad list. Except for fish to which she is allergic and, as she cannot stand the smell, I avoid too.
But we do eat the right sort of nuts.
Just have to keep on truckin.;)

We are right at the end of a very rural line. And it is prone to damage from falling or rubbing tree branches.
I'll have to check to see what they promise to provide cos that'll be the only stick I could beat them with.
Thanks for that tip!

Yer could ask yer nayburs anorl. Especially if they is wiv a different provider. Thats a good comparison. Signal loss and speed problems are normally in the local loop from yer castle to the fone network. It also depend what service yer provider provides in yer area.

I have those done every month. You get used to the acronyms after a while. I refused statins as I believe they are the reason both my father and father in law have dementia.
Research any medications, I didn't for the BP ones and they came close to finishing me off!

Eye ain't had a problem as such. Went to the doc ferra nuvva reason and asked about me heart. She measured me blood pressure and said she was concerned about the 90 in 140/90. Said 90 is higher than she would like but not high enuff to take intervention. Eye was asking because me dad snuffed it wivva heart attack. We had to go ferra ecg at the time as we was his oft springs. That was years ago. Eye was ok but asked me gp recently if eye should have anuvva ecg. She said no a cholesterol blood test is worreye need. She then asked if eye wanted a general elf check. Eye said yes.

There be a lot of peeps of a simular age at wuk wiv troubles. Stents fitted. Some minor strokes anorl. Eye dunt want any of that. Its bin playing on me mind ferra few years that eye need to look afterer meslf a bit more as yer tend to not exercise as yer gettid olderer. Hence finkin elfy forts.

It is a sensible approach. Just be aware doctors are human and make mistakes is all I am saying 👍
