Got a replacement wheel

not impressed. within a month of ownership.. new car is poorly.. in my opinion thats a fault that was at present at the time of sale, not something thats turned up after 6 months driving round. i shouldnt be liable for ANY cost to fix it!!! that includes any diag fees from a garage.

Quelle surprise! If it's an L322 trouble is only to be expected, they don't like rain. You are supposed to keep it in an airconditioned garage, polish it once a month and only ever take it out in warm dry weather:rolleyes:
If you bought from a garage, you should certainly be able to get some sort of restitution.

its nothing major, bearing in the ac pump (i think) but thats not the point.. the dealer is legally obliged to fix.. i shouldnt be involved financially
apart from that its fine (so far)

We must have missed that bit in the manual, but then our L322 doesn’t seemed to have seen it either;).

so far hes gone from.. we'll sort it dont worry.. to get the warranty to cover it
thats all well and good, but the supplied warranty costs me money for diagnosis of the problem. the dealer needs to fix whatever appears in the first 30 days.. thats the joys of being a dealer and why i didnt buy privately :p

Well the only significant problems my 2008 L322 SC has experienced have been mechanical in nature and believe me we get a lot of rain where I live in the winter. First owner had to replace the transmission with a rebuild around 180k km. I have had to replace the AC compressor and a coolant hose. Recently at 202k km I had to have the dealer replace a bunch of rear suspension bushings and links to cure a vibration. The only electrical problem I have is the intermittent wipers seldom work but it's easy enough to flick the stalk when needed. It's more reliable than my P38 which is currently on the bump stops.
 
Well, when I say 5 yrs on the tratter, they weren't actually leaking but looked a bit cracked when flexed, was doing the head gasket so just decided to replace anyway.

In the probably vain hope that they will last longer, I have fitted stainless over braided pipe this time with heat shrink on the ends.

I used Gates reinforced stuff in the summer. It will be interesting to see how it lasts. The Bosch stuff fitted 10 years earlier was still sound but had gone hard. I think Brain put that braided stuff on his.
