I wouldn't worry about it. just clean it off and refill.
Seem to remember mine was like that. Some wear is inevitable.
Bigger chunks would be a different thing.

Bits of cog would be worrying... however theres always going to be a fine metallic paste on the magnet if its that long since changing the oil.
