Painted the rims today. Also tried to replace the stupid Lucas diff switch. What a piece of cheap junk. Still doesn’t work and now I have two broken switches. Bah.

empty space....

joabnMj.jpg

starting to fill the 'ole...

it starts, runs and drives foreward / reverse so thats a win?

also....

F'kin Landrovah.

engine in BUT why the differences between 2.5D Ninety & 200tdi?

bought (@ great expense!) a genuine LR 200tdi fuel return pipe (from IP to tank), fits the IP BUT different thread on the tank:mad::mad::mad:

W-Anchor.

the 200tdi engine loom plugs into the 2.5d Ninety's main loom, no dice with the alternator / charge light on dashboard (was previously tested when running the engine on the floor:rolleyes:)

turbo heatshield 'touches' the bonnet (military jobbie with strengtheners for spare-wheel if that matters?) - sorta wondered about this and looked for one @ Newbury but....

theres more, like fitting pas....

but thats another rant;)

Rich.

YUP:cool:

one-hand light steering now:D

opposed to two-handed struggling:eek:

but I'm struggling to fit the metal pipework neatly across the front crossmember - whatever I do looks messy & I dont want them rubbinhg or fracturing:(

Rich.
On mine there’s two W shaped clips, one each side, that clamp the two metal pipes to the back of the front x-member. It would be part 13 in this diagram.
