Hi chaps! Was wondering if any of you intelligent folk know what the standard rear HD coil spring is rated at lb wise. These are standard on the Defender 90 td5 because the fuel tank hangs over the rear axle.
I have these on at the moment, but I bought them a fair few years ago and they are starting to loose their bounce, I hit the bump stops regularly, probably because they are bearmach springs, I.e Chinese crap.

My other option are the nrc4304 'police spec' hd spring as used on the Rangie classic. These are rated at 170lbs. Any help re the lb rating would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Phill! I'll go for them on the rears and get some standard HD upfront! :)
Flat dog springs can be had in various weights and lengths. Have a look at their site. If you want something bespoke look at the springs for RRC and D1’s too.

Thanks for the shout out to flatdog, just looking on their site now! Look good and reasonably priced, and they actually have what they're rated at which makes a change to most! Cheers!

Both myself and my brother have been using the flatdog springs for a few years now. Very pleased thus far, also great to be able to mix and match and know the spring rates.
