Why not try a courgette, sliced and maybe chopped a little more then a shallot and a clove of garlic, crushed, some Herbes de Provence or Italian herbs all sautéd together in either oil or a mix of oil and butter, it doesn't have to be olive oil, sunflower oil is actoooly less harsh flavour wise, THEN add your mushrooms. I have this, or a variation of it, every Saturday night with my steak.
You could also add a little red wine to deglaze the pan or a bit of brandy.
LARVELY!!!

I had steak last night & Ive got brazing steak for tomorrow.
Went out for fish n chips earlier & had a wee shandy.

Na different one supercharged one turbo'd Ive found a rebuilt one with oversized pistons ect
as if ive not got enough to be getiting on with

Yup thats the one, I did think I heard a little knock a few days ago & was listening for it but it didnt
happen again. Aye we still have the other mini so I will swap the insurance over.

Well chiro's this morning then not much as it's been very wet here.
Bit of DIY plastering an ole.
BUT pleased to report I have fixed an annoying problem.
For a longish time now my new to me 2nd hand lappy has not been charging properly.
Full power delivery at the jack plug thing, but still had to be held at a weird angle and even then the charge light just flickered.
So today made a couple of tools to allow me to get into the tiny hole on the lappy and bend the contacts out a bit.
Made no difference
So did some research and got my calliper out. The outer diameter on the jack was fine, in fact a fraction over, but the inner diameter, feckin hard to see, seemed to be a bit oversize. So a push with a small point on the two tiny connectors inside the inner connector and BINGO!!! the feckin thing is now working as it should.
Much cheaper than buying a new charger!
(And yes I know it isn't really the charger, that is inside the pooter, it's a power supply.)

The good lady took the old XJR out for a rip, or a trip to the shops as she calls it..

had 3/4 of a tank of pez in it when she left and came back a few hours later with 1/8th of a tank and a lady with a grin from ear to ear...

Seems she wants to swap her mini for it.

This reminds me of how I started working properly on cars. I had a Mini de Luxe with a rusty body but a great motor and gear box. Bought another with a great body but jumped out of gear in two gears, and the engine wasn't as good. So started swopping bits from the rusty one into tother un.
A mate who had a really gorgeous Cooper was worried he'd get the wheels and seats nicked out of it, cos he suddenly had to park it on the street, came round and took the wheels and seats out of mine, for a few quid.
So when I scrapped it it was empty largely except for an old engine and box, and on bricks!
I wasn't there when they took it away but somehow they managed it! Don't think they paid me much for it.
So since then, have never looked back!
(Painted the Mini yellow and black, then a few months later overcooked it on a bend and hit a tree.. Bent the sub frame but still managed to drive it home from Chippenham to Bath. Drive shaft squeaking as it rubbed on the inner wing. Sold the wreck to a Mech who loved his Minis and raced em.)
