Been watching the local fireworks from the bedroom window.
Got some fun lined up for tomorrow night. Friends are away and have invited us to look after their pile down the road. Is an old vicarage with its own ghost (not that I go for that bollix). She's all up for it, I'm up for a Ruby an a four poster bed :D

Ghost or ruby, yer gonna need a bog roll or two near at hand

TIG welding is in 2 "Start" flavours.
One is "scratch/lift" start (so you touch down and lift-off to start the arc.
The other is High Frequency start (like a little lightning storm) that sparks up all on its own across the gap as you press the button/pedal.
So the first is like arc, that's OK, used to that.
The second sounds awesome! Like that even more!:):):):)

My dog's groomer breeds Cockers as well as Beardies. It is great fun meeting the pups and watching them play. During the pandemic she has done very little breeding as she is very particular who takes on ownership and refused to take part in price inflation.
I really like her attitude!:):):):):)
When we last bred some cockers we had one couple who were very keen that the puppy be on "dry" food when they picked her up. We got a nasty feeling about this so asked them why they were so bothered about it.
They told us that as soon as they got the pup they had booked a holiday in a rented cottage and would be leaving the pup all day in the kitchen in the place.
So - brand new puppy, on its own, not got all its injections yet on a strange floor and expected to go eating dry food.
Not the way to treat a puppy you have just bought we thought.
So we returned their deposit and told them why. They said we were being "too sensitive".
FFS! Why buy a puppy if you are like that?
You have to be so careful.

So today is the old MIL's 92nd Birthday. :D:D:D:D
Who turns up? Just me and the Missus. :(:(:(:(
No grandkids (who keep telling me and missus "we all need to look after Nan"), and her Son called to say he was feeling unwell (the little lovie) was OK on Sunday when he ate the free dinner apparently.
She may not make nother year and these tw@ts just can't be ar$ed. Makes me so cross.:mad::mad:
totally understandably cross.
Maybe she'll remember this and change her will so you get the lot!;)

Good evening.
Near ringwood….escaped the woods.
Tis nearly Friday so send me to Kent… away from home:mad:
Oh guess who forgot to close a window when the sawdust was flying
We were in Ringwood today, did you get bogged up in the flipping roadworks? We seem to be there most days at the mo!:(
Followed an incredibly tall lorry through part of RW delivering "palletised" stuff, his rear nearside wheels mounted a curb and he looked very unstable! .

Tis my mate whos getting the cocker, the cockappoos are pricey up here.
We rescued one before he's been gone two years now, what a nightmare for the first year but
turned out a great dog. Trouble is the misses would want to take them all so we aint going near
the re-homing centre we'd end up with whole dam lot. o_O
I got the bit about it being your mate with the cocker and you with the other pup thing, which is why I kinda mentioned both in the same post. But if your missus is dead set on a puppy then maybe rescue isn't the way to go anyway. no idea as we've never gone that way before. Don't know if they rescue many litters or not.
Think both me and the missus would be much the same re the rescue doggies.:):):)
She is a member of the dog's trust and watches ALL the programs about dogs, and vets and farmers etc.
At the mo she is real upset about the Yorkshire farmers now being separated, the ones with 9 kids buried up a Dale near Swaledale. :(:(:(:(:(

Na the scaffy company were going to pay for it now they wont answer the phone to him.
It was on his van & I didnt have to pay them it was an act of god. :D
So to get this clear.
The van is damaged.
He has no insurance on it.
and the scaffyies are playing awkward squad about paying for it.
Hee Hee Hee!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D
Karma, i love you!!!!!:):):):):)

Ruby, now that's an old-fashioned name for a girl nowadays! Still glad you can still be "up" for her!!!!!

(Stan he means a curry, you've been told that before.)

Well today went well.
Went to Ringwood to pick up the stuff that they said Wifey hadn't bid on. How they still had it I don't know but all has been put right and she got some money back.
It only took me 50 minutes to get from Ferndown to Poole hostible (FFS). Roadworks, accident then a bus "missed his turning" right in the middle of a set of roadworks so had to reverse out a long way, pr@t. I'd fortunately left an hour to do the 8.1 miles which should take 17 minutes, if you believe Google maps.:mad::mad::mad:
But good result again as the Haematologist was a top bloke agreed totally about how I thought my DVT had happened, told me I was fine and to stop taking the tabs!! Great!!!
Bloke fixing the leak on the Disco's auto box rang to tell me it'll be ready tomoz, and yes it was just a matter of tightening up the bolts between the box and the Torque converter housing and he put a new seal in for good measure. He'll also take it out and try to see what is causing the "thrum thrum".
Dreading the bill but I'll be glad to not have to go under it every 500 miles to top it up! I bet the bill will be not far off the cost of a four post lift, which I'd have if I had the space, then I could do this sort of thing myself.
Anyways, sleep well folks!
:):):):):)
