What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Used a place at Kettering that the farm use for tractor pumps, turns out they don't do Bosch Ve pumps anymore and have to send them away. Will double check where they went when i see them in person and name them then.

Today i fitted the self assemble track rod end on the bottom of drop arm, which was a proper monkey, involved makeshift press then heat, a big hammer.

Motor been used for the past few days by Mrs who now says it does not always start.
Arrived home after a good drive out & 5 mins later failed to start. Quick look at the battery shows this may be the problem

Another look & I can see day light :mad:
So salt spray/water due to all local flooding has caused a bit of rot to the seat base.

Looks like a new battery tray is needed. Off to YRM to have a browse

& as Iv also been. a passenger I have now found a few air leaks. Nothing that a bit of silicone/gaffer tape won’t block up. :eek:
 
Turned up at the D90 this morning and a flat tyre! High lift jack out, and wheel swapped with spare. Then off to the tyre fitter for repair.

Tyre fitter found nothing wrong with tyre or valve???

we must have a phantom tyre deflater. :oops:

Could be a leak off the Bead my summer tyres are always a pain when first on as they have been stored all winter..

Mind you this last year 90 has been off the road a lot more than on..

Thinking i might flog it, will be a toss up on 110 or 90 to keep..

Prices they are making at moment could sell both and buy a 5 year old low mileage L200...

Would miss it, as soon as i sold it but getting fed up with neither on the road and both requiring work

Today i measured the height of my 110 from ramp to centre of arches..

Don’t do the L200.coil & leaf spring. Yep comfy & reliable. No fun and nothing falls off.
 
i know my daily drive is a 57 plate l200 warrior with 215k on it have owned it since 76K

No clutch, or head gasket

bit of suspension, shock absorbers and spring changes and servicing brakes tyres and timing belts

Bloody good truck far better than the farm navara on 85K on an 06 loads of trouble

Just a bit fed up with them in bits and lots of hours in the workshop and seeming to never get the list done fast as i tick some off i find more to add..

I know i know the joys of green oval ownership

ignore me and feeling sorry for myself last day of pheasant season today, normally a big day instead a very quiet walk round the farm with missus and two spaniels and the pheasants were sharper than we were and slid out of the wood and maize out of gun range etc.. with Covid been a crap season, lots of pets now until oct despite my hard working dogs who are done in..but in the best place.

Fitted the YRM battery tray today. Just have to some finishing off in the morning. Instead of using pop rivets on the some of the multi metal thicknesses I will use nuts & bolts. This is due to local B& Q having queues & me not waiting.
Heres a tip... build it up in situ if the seat box has not been removed.
Find all the spot welds that hold the old tray in place

as normal nice piece of work & well made item from YRM all holes pre drilled & line up.
once complete I will remove the plastic film

I like that, I agree YRM make quality kit!
 
Drove through the farm and lots of flood water after fitting this. I broke down last weekend and knew there was nothing wrong with my pedal so made a new loom. So far, so good! I’m fairly sure after speaking to others earlier in the year that it’s actually fairly common for the loom to chafe/short against the gearbox. Rain seems to cause it!!
Stupid td5 electronic pedal!! What’s wrong with a throttle cable eh?!!

i finished the spring and shock absorbers fitment on my 110 project

will post pics on the thread for that,

Have also tried to bleed the clutch on the 110 4c that sits in the barn. Topped up the empty master cylinder 2 days ago, slid underneath, undid bleed screw on slave cylinder, got missus to pump away,, no fluid out and no fluid drop in the resevoir..

When pedal works the piston moves in and out of master cylinder. but no fluid, guts of master cylinder look shiny, wonder if someone has changed it and not got it right?

any thoughts gang

started it up & moved forward & backwards all good.
Now do I order a battery tray & put In a bigger battery? (I changed this to a smaller one moons ago when I could not get a large battery)

Remove the slave & push it back. Hold it back while bleeding as you may have an air lock. The clutch fork does not push it back far enough to bleed.

Got a big 643 in mine, cant get two in but it has plenty of go in it...

Will giv ethat a crack tomorrow, fixed my boiler now for teh CCTV got a camera out..

And i removed the fuel filter on my 110 project, left it draining gonna try it with fresh derv tomorrow
