Hi All,

Got a leak from the seal on the attached photograph from my old pump for reference.

Can I change this out without affecting the timing of the pump?

Looking to replace with pump insitu which be tight but don't want to remove pump and re time it etc.

I know the other when removed similar cap with a loaded spring so not sure if I can do the same without affecting the timing?

Thanks hope everyone is well and safe.

Yes, that is the timing device, take note of component positions and replace exactly in order stripped.

Thank you. I am looking to replace the seal with pump in place in engine rather than remove it.

Noting what you said can it be done this way or is it easier to remove completely?

Just looking to replace the seal in the photo which is not the spring end.

Done carefully no problem cannot change anything.
