Series is much more fun, if they are the same output. And sounds like you're taking land rovers too

I did consider series but if any part of any of the panels gets shaded then it affects the entire string of panels whereas connecting them in parallel doesn't have this issue.

Umm, so series gives you more volts though less reliably, and parallel gives you less volts consistently, right?

Yep.
Also with series connectivity if any of the panels, cables or connections have issues then the entire string can suffer. Almost like the old Christmas tree lights when one bulb blows then none of the rest work.

Series give a higher voltage and the same current. Parallel gives the same voltage and double current

Thas assuming both panels have equal output as they both av the same amount ov sun light.

Both options give the same watts of power, at different voltages.
