Fitted the new rear brake pads and disks, then got to enjoy the EPB bedding in procedure.

They are big old beasts these disks . You know.

Cheers

That's the one. Pleased to read John recovered in Spain but I seriously doubt he ever managed to get Spanish plates on the Beast.
The latest video I could find (2018), shows him driving it from his garage in Malaga to Marbella aged 85, good on him:) and, still on the same plates.

In the days when we had hot rods,( late 70s) and everybody was cutting up Cortina's and escorts etc.. there was the story of someone who put two engines in a mini. one driving the back, one driving the front and you sat between two engines with two timing chains flapping around either side of you...did we really do all that then.?

They did it in the Metro too and raced it.

No, the Metor was the tank engine as @Bagshot said, the Merlin was as @Datatek said used in the Spitfire. it had a solid crank and an external oil pump. The Griffon had a hollow crank and internal pump for oil distribution. The Griffon was still being used in the Shackleton aircraft used by Coastal Command. Yes I remember them flying from St Mawgan and Lossiemouth.old bastard.:D

So, on my P38..
Chrome Wolfrace wheels, jacked up the back, front spoiler, bonnet scoop, flames painted down the side, chrome side pipes...and a Radio 1 green sunstrip... Tasty.!

So is this one of yours:D:p
