Hi, I’m from Liverpool, England and I have always wanted a defender and took the plunge 2 weeks ago with a 1997 110 in camo green and black! It was in poor condition cosmetically but engine 300 TDI is running lovely! I have redone all the interior with marine ply and designed and built a cubby that fits in a lovely 7inch touch screen stereo. Currently it’s being rewired as it looks like a 5 year old wired it. I have booked in for a full respray at the end of the month and I will tackle the full interior carpets. Wish me luck!

This is the cubby I had built that fits perfect and I have fitted a 7 inch touch screen Apple play and TV into, I will cover this will black 4mm 4 stretch carpet. I have also fitted new marine ply on interior roof and cooker base and back door.

I used vinyl flexible paint black to paint the head lining and sun visors and they come out like new
I have posted some pictures, new custom cubby with touch screen and new marine ply with sound boards behind it all over the landy. I have bought a lot of new bits for it already and I am really enjoying working on it.
