Have a 04 Discovery 2 td5.

Whilst driving today my ACE warning light came on and on closer inspection I have discovered the top pipe at the front ( pipe 16) has cracked and coolant is leaking out. Managed to top the resovoir up and drive it home.

Have tried the search facility on the forum, however it was not working.

Has anyone replaced there ACE pipes at home recently and if so how did you go about doing it? Did you replace the full pipe ?
The pipe is leaking next to the front suspension strut.

Any help will be appreciated.

Yes, if you mean the pipe from the reservoir to the pump.
It is gravity fed, not under pressure, so easily replaced with a bit of flexible pipe. Then find all the flipping pipes under there that are chafing, split some old garden hose and tie it round the offending items with cable ties, then go to the other side and do the same thing. Tis a true vipers nest.
Mine was a pinhole invisible to the naked eye until ATF came out. In a metal pipe.

I changed all mine and the valve block in the beginning of this year on my back at side of road was a pain but do able I replaced it after one front pipe which passed through front chassis rail failed I converted it to a modified valve block that accepted hydraulic hose fixings and replaced all the pipe work with high pressure hydraulic hose
