This is a FL2 BTW. Well this one has me puzzled, the wipers (front and rear) all work like they should, but when I pull the stalk back to wash the rear screen, the rear screen wiper starts, but washes the front screen, if I press the front screen wash button nothing at all happens, I ordered a new front washer motor and took the bumper off, only to find when I replaced the front washer motor that nothing changed, still the same as it was. I have measured the voltage from the front motor plug and it's 0, so nothing is getting there, however the fuses must be OK as the rear washer works (I think they are on the same fuse and there is only one listed.) I have inspected the wiring and there seems to be continuity. Has anybody got any idea what's going on here?

Sounds like they have been swapped. May be due to wiring issue so using rear wash circuit to operate front washers? is there 12 v at the rear washer motor when needed?

Yes there is 12v when operated to the rear screen wash motor plug, BUT there is no voltage to the front motor, it's entirely possible the tubes have been swapped over in order to pass MOT, however I would like to get them working and I am stuck as there is no voltage present even when the switch is pressed. Is it possible to replace JUST the wash / wipe stalk on a FL2?

Yes it is possible, find a matching part number on a well known auction site.

OK for those of you that are interested, the motor is the same motor for font and rear screens, the ecu runs the motor clockwise for the front screen wash and anti clockwise for the rear screen, it does this by reversing the polarity to the motor, there are 2 one way valves built into the motor base to allow this to work without the outputs effecting each other. The fault turned out to be the button on the end of the stalk (actually the button worked, but the transistor at the bottom PCB of the stalk wasn't switching) a new stalk fixed that and someone had connected the rear screen and front N/S headlight wash to the windscreen washer pump, the headlight pump had the front screen and O/S headlamp wash connected to it, after a few minutes figuring out which pipe was supposed to go where, everything is back to working order.
