Hi, I am new to this forum. I currently own a 2014 RRS se which I have added some upgrades to making the car, which is white with a black roof, look amazing. You know your car looks the part whenever my son's friends - guys in their early 20's - pass very favourable comments about how well my car looks !
Anyhow, this is my second Landrover product. My first was a brand new Range Rover Evoque, which I ran for 4 very contented years. I always fancied the current Range Rover Sport series 2 and bought mine last year. Like the Evoque, I have nothing but praise for the car, how well it runs and its practicality and relatively low fuel consumption.

Anyhow, I plan to keep my RRS for a few years and as some will know, the Se model comes with a full panoramic sunroof but the seats do not have the Captain's arm rests. So these are my seat queries....

What is it like to have the arm rests as standard? Do they get in the way when driving or are they a necessity? Also, do you know if you can retro fit the arm rests to the existing seats or will I need to purchase seats with the arm rests already attached? I ask because I have seen some L494 seats for a 2014 RRS advertised online but haven't taken my interest any further yet. This is my final query? Do you know if the RRS SE is constructed by Land rover with the electrical wiring in situ, that will facilitate an upgrade to make use of electric seats ( mine are just manual on the Se) or am I wasting my time and money?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Welcome.

P.s I'd stay very quiet about the ejoke, Sport is bad enough, but you will get nothing but scorn and derision on the ejoke.

This ^^

To many the ejoke is the vehicular equivalent of writing your phone number on the wall of a men’s toilet.

Welcome however. Post your seat query in the Range Rover section and I’m sure someone can help.

Armrest down and still two hands on the wheel.:)

When we got the 322 my arm kept rolling off the armrest, I think they are narrower and rounder than the P38.

But end of the day you need a armrest:cool::D

And these are March ‘95 - the oldest of this model and I use this for work not show. Still like new and comfy comfy. It is like driving around on a 3 piece suite

No leg room to open the glovebox if your passenger has legs in my P38. Other than that plenty room all around.
I love how the seat covers have armrest sleeves too - cant find new set :(
