Time to rubber up my 2006 Defender 110.
Road use, with some minimal greenlaning during the summer holidays. I live in a very hilly town, and any snow whatsoever becomes very interesting without decent rubber. I like a nice tread that suits the Defender, but something a bit less extreme than my Insa Turbo mudders.
I'm thinking General Grabber AT2s as I've had them before, and their performance in heavy rain is exceptional. However, I see the BFGs are still commonly recommended.
Anyone tried that AT2s recently, or got a view over the BFGs?
Thanks!
Jock.

BFGs are good. I'm currently running Cooper Discoverers. Not run them in winter yet, but they're damned good at the moment. Quiet as well, I can hear my transmission whine now.

I love my BFG AT KO1s, mine are about 10 years old and still loads of tread left, I might have to replace them this year though as the rubber is starting to perish a bit. My mate has BFG AT KO2s and they certainly look the part, grip is supposed to be improved, possibly at the expense of longevity.

I've used Discoverer STT and BFG AT. I prefer the former for offroad and sand but the BFGs for normal road. Only used 265s though, so narrower versions will perform differently and might change my view.
