Hi guys.

My driver's door window has packed up and I think it's the window ECU as the other windows work fine, seems to be a common problem when power is not getting to just one window.

Does anyone know where the window ECU is on a 2005 MY 5 door. Rave says it's located behind the driver's side facia. Another post I found says it's above the fusebox near the A pillar. I have spent the past two hours looking in this area and it's definitely not there.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Simon

Windows are controlled by the Central Control Unit (CCU) which is on the back of the drivers side fusebox. There is also an electric window relay (5th from left in drivers fuse box and an auxiliary relay (that works the windows) 4th from left. However, before getting into wiring details it is much more likely to be the motor or cables in the door. Assuming you have checked the fuse, F34, then I would remove the door panel and check the feed to the motor when the switch is operated, should be +12v or -12v for up and down. If this is o.k then go into the feed circuits (Rave manual is good) and if not then the motor and / or wires are at fault. My experience is that a jammed mechanism blows the fuse.

Thanks Andy, there is a window ECU that controls the one shot operation on the driver's window, this takes its signal from the CCU and operates the window. As td4van has kindly pointed out the facelift model doesn't have this module as it's built into the switch pack on the driver's door. The motor and cables are fine as I've replaced them recently so I guess it the switch pack.
