Disco 2 Auto Box Not Selecting 4th

Hi all very new to this, on my second D2 had a V8 was awesome but thirsty so I decided to buy a TD5. Anyway bought the td5 here in Ireland, it’s kind of developed a bit of an issue changing gear, it was being a bit difficult to change up, then no issue and then only change 1-3 no problem. I’m after noticing also some gears selected on stick not appearing on the display. Also led not lighting beside selection on stick. Yesterday it was D, now today it is N. But if I pull slightly with button pressed it shows the gear and led lights up. I’m thinking I have to adjust my XYZ Switch, am I right?

Also I have the 3 amigos as well but only one occurrence of that.
What does anyone think? Am I right about the XYZ switch or is it in need of replacing? Any and all help is appreciated cheers

If you had an electrical fault within xyz switch or associated circuits you would have flashing m+s lights and limp mode.
Sounds like the gear selector needs syncing with xyz switch, either switch has moved or cable has stretched.
With regard to changing up gear, have fault codes read by dedicated d2 code reader and if nothing showing, a change of Transmission fluid and filter may solve your problem.

I think tbh the XYZ needs adjustment because I played with the gear selector to select gears and some were not showing on display unless I held it in place so I think it may need that. Thanks for the help.
