Welcome. Without being too harsh, if you do a search you will find lots of threads on the foibles of each engine and model. Check out the Disco3 for relevance to the Sport as they are the same girl wearing a different dress.
The search button is your friend.
As for 'go for it or find another car' , that's up to you and you shouldn't need a bunch of strangers to make your decision for you.

P.s Are you aware 'sport' just means it is slightly smaller than a full fat range rover? It's not a sports car or rally car. You will find doughnuts, burn outs and drifting a bit hard 41GH2D+fYzL._SY355_.jpg

One thing to think about is spares and maintenance in your location , spares are expensive here let alone your location and if the local garages don't know the vehicle faults could get very expensive very quickly, range rover ownership is not for the faint hearted.

Just about everything on a Range Rover is a common problem, especially the electronics.
If you want to park it outside your house and polish it occasionally to impress your neighbours it will be fine.

if you are in Lebanon, consider parts availability and shipping. we all love our RR's but the price it comes with is having to spanner yourself. There's losts of help and advice here, but you will need the desire to learn about it and how to fix it yourself. and get parts. purchasing diagnostics is imperative so budget a couple of hundred pounds for that

Some of us have a Range Rover because we cannot afford a decent 4 x 4:rolleyes:

Or factor in costs to pay someone to do the work.
