Active shrouds are better. Got one on my BSA Ultra Se and it makes a big difference over just a moderator.

It’s a shame one can’t moderate the noise of the pellet hitting. My moderated PCPs made no noise at all when fired. Still emptied a field of bunnies when that first shot landed.
