Im liking this idea. Ive been looking at rear seat options since I bought my 110 and not found anything decent yet bar fitting front seats in the rear. Which could be a little large!

These seats could be a good idea

Mate these are a perfect fit size wise, only thing with my seat frames is the sweep up in the tube. But seats seem to nestle inside it nicely, but rails don't line up bang on with anything. So a little fabrication but nothing major :)

Pinched the wife's front passenger seat out of the 1 series last night ;)

Obviously I'd have block cloth or leather

They fit and match 1 existing mounting hole and wouldn't be too much to extend rails to other original mounts. But they're just a bit too high. I know I can't be too fussy but I was a good 3-4inches higher.

Popped drivers side in wedged with timber at the back and took it round the block. Can reach pedals fine and legs don't hit steering wheel but my heads too high. These would be good for someone under 5'11" though.

I'm thinking mgf/tf seats, they're much lower profile on the base

Try RX7 or RX8 seats.....
spot on for off road 'wrap around support' heated too!

i got standard, changing to puma heated soon, my buddy has them i'm 6'2 ok height wise for me, side bolsters good for off roading, but no good for me long term, like a straight jacket!
prefer the rx7's he had before (first pic)

Yam a big lad ay ya! I'm 5'11 and slim reckon they'd be ok?

Torn between changing them for something from another car, an upgraded 'defender' seat from exmoor or John craddocks etc or just redoing the foam and trim  no rush to decide though I've gotta get these rears done

You could go for the wonderful Corbeau RRS. Very comfy, great back and side support, need a little wearing on for your backside but otherwise comfy. Got the full sides too, bout 6'4, fit happy with space to spare.

Come heated too and last very well. Mine are coming up on 5 or 6 years and still look new.

Downside roughly £1000 for a pair, heated with subframes. Occasionally you can find them on offer for sub £800

Imo worth every penny, one of my more favourable upgrades!

They sound and look the Bollocks mate but my budget is no more than £400 :(

Craddocks have got sparco R100's for about £200 each that's with runners and removable frames so you can get to battery etc what you reckon?

Silly question,

have you thought about refurbing your current ones. new foam can make a big difference.

Cheers

Not a silly question at all! I am considering that as well. It's going to be a while before I decide, quite a big outlay when I've got steering arms and swivels etc to do

Edit
If I do retrim, I'll replace with leather or black cloth

Is this an age thing or build quality?

Sorry!

You mightve put me onto something here, £400 on nice new sports seats but my left (edit. No, right) leg gets wet when I turn right in the rain o_O:D
Heated are nice
BUT!! if its snowing and you have snow trousers or equivalent on you dont get to really feel it!!
To be honest anything that helps to warm the cab is a good thing, so I am trying to find a supplier for those thick clear plastic thermo blind things you see in shops over the fridges, I figure hang a set behind my seats in front of the dog guard, less space to warm etc

You can get fume curtains with a window in them.

@bankz5152 @neilly @KISSMYAURA

I'm in for a shock this winter aint i?:D

Wear a wet suit, when you get the cold rain running down your leg, you know how to warm it up........
